Submission Guidelines (Phase 1)

*No prototype creation will be required during this phase* Please follow these guidelines while making your submission:

• 🎤 5-10-Slide Proposal Deck
• 🎤 Title: Written on cover page
• 🎤 Team members : Size of team
• 🎤 Contact : Contact details of team
• 🎤 Idea : Unique approach to the implementation
• 🎤 Approach: How will you solve it ? Problem by technology (your solution)?
• 🎤 Keep in mind that the projects will need to incorporate Cloud technology as much as possible.

Prototype Submission Guidelines (Phase 2)

Please follow these guidelines while making your idea submission:

• 🎤 You may submit your project as many times as you like. Only the final submission will be judged.
• 🎤 All projects must contain the following in their submission
• 🎤 Deck from phase 1
• 🎤 Project overview (3-4 sentences explaining what you built)
• 🎤 Link to the code on Github (only for phase two)
• 🎤 A presentation ( in the form of powerpoint or youtube video) of your project Youtube no longer than 4 minutes or PPT no more than 12 slides

Here are some examples of features you could add in the web/mobile app implementation to get extra points and win the hackathon 🏆🏆🏆🏆 :

• 🎤 Implementation using Dynamic widgets would get more points
• 🎤 Designing an Admin controlled web/mobile app interface would get additional points
• 🎤 Include screenshots for all the pages in the App
• 🎤 Apps including chat interface and in-app calling features get more points
• 🎤 Apps including video calling sdks get extra points
• 🎤 Creating a separate vendor app would get extra points
• 🎤 Projects incorporating Cloud technology would get more points

• Q   Do I need to pay any money to register for the Hackathon ?
  A   No. You do not have to pay anything to anyone to register yourself for any MAYA Hackathon.

• Q Do I need to have any specific qualifications to be a participant for the Hackathon?
  A   If you love to code, you are more than welcome to participate in the Hackathon.

• Q   How do I submit what I have made for the Hackathon?
  A   You have to develop the application on your local system and submit it on MAYA webpage in tar/zip file format along with instructions to run the application and source code.

• Q   Do we need to have the entire idea fully working?
  A   You get points for a complete implementation however, the submission should be functional so that it can be reviewed by the judges.

• Q   How is the environment? Will your environment support any language? Will you provide any IDE and DB for us to work on ideas?
  A   You have to develop the entire software application on your local system and submit it on MAYA webpage in tar/zip file format along with instructions to run the application and source code.

• Q   Does one have to be online and available for the entire duration of the Hackathon?
  A   No, one does not need to be logged in on MAYA or be online for the entire duration. You can develop the application on your local system based on the given themes and then submit it on MAYA, on the specific Hackathon page.

• Q   Since there is no specific technology mentioned, are there any restrictions on using number of pre-built libraries?
  A   There is no restriction to use any language, technology stack, or libraries. You can use any of them to create the web/mobile application.

• Q   If it is a team submission, does that mean all team members will have access to the work at the same time?
  A   Yes, all team members can individually enroll and do application submission on MAYA hackathon.

• Q   A fully developed application need to have a solid backend for data storage like SQL, SharePoint etc. since its online, is it accepted to show only the proto type of it?
  A   You get more points if you get closer to a production app. However, you could submit just the prototype. If you use any database like Mongodb, MySQL or PostgresSQL you can also submit a database dump along with your submission. However you are allowed to submit a working prototype.

• Q   Do I need to give a demo for the product that I have built?
  A   If you want you can submit a small presentation or video that demos your submission, however it's not mandatory, and only good to have. In case you are one of the winners, you might be invited to demo your application at a physical event, details of which will be shared sufficiently ahead of time.

• Q   Who will own the IP(Intellectual Property) Rights to the product that I have built?
  A   Your code would be evaluated by the MAYApanel. If you/your team entry is selected for the Prizes then MAYAwould have all the rights to the code and the web/mobile application.
